Welcome To Your New Central Park Mansion, Boaz Weinstein, Say The Dolls
by Beth Connolly on June 4, 2012
Hedge Fund manager Boaz Weinstein was able to dispose of a bit of his massive profits on JPMorgan’s recent loss by purchasing a $25.5 million penthouse on Fifth Avenue. The apartment was formerly owned by eccentric reclusive heiress Huguette Clark and though the heiress has not lived there for several decades, the apartment housed her doll collection up until her recent passing.
Weinstein and his wife had been in talks to purchase the 14-room apartment, which borders Central Park, for several months. They succeeded in beating out other notable buyers, including the prime minister of Qatar, in winning the approval of the co-op board.
