Tomorrow is judgement day.
Not for the big banks, which, with minor adjustments, will carry on business as usual.
It’s judgement day for Occupy Wall Street and all its assorted hangers-on.
Tomorrow, May 1, a day that has historically been commemorated by workers and unions with marches and protests for wage equality, is the day that #OWS has chosen to stage their come-back. If it fails, they will be doomed to eternal obscurity. The movement has been silent for almost six months now, since it was evicted from Zuccotti Park in November 2011. When an early spring bloomed in New York City, bringing summer-like temps in mid-March and April, New Yorkers expected to see protesters pop back up. But they didn’t.
Will the movement resume tomorrow?
“What happens is anyone’s guess,” said 25-year-old Occupy organizer Drew Hornbain in the Wall Street Journal.
