A long-time leader of Credit Suisse’s mergers and acquisitions group is leaving the bank to become deputy mayor of the City of Chicago.
Steven Koch, who has been at the top of the Swiss-bank’s M&A team for almost 20 years, most recently as co-chairman of the group, will be a top economic advisor for Mayor Rahm Emanuel. He will replace Mark Angelson, who is set to become the chairman of the Institute of International Education’s Scholar Rescue Fund.
The moves take effect Sept. 4.
